Iran’s ‘The Storyless Land’ wins big in Italy

‘The Storyless Land’ wins award at River Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short documentary ‘The Storyless Land’ has grabbed award at the River International Film Festival (RIFF) in Italy.

Made by Mitra Rouhimanesh, the 35-short doc has taken home the Best Documentary award titled Golden River from the Italian fest’s 15th edition.

‘The Storyless Land’ is about a deprived yet ancient village that has been resided by people who do not have tiniest desire to leave their land. However, the government officials have made a decision to move the locals to another region.

These people, regardless of all their difficulties, resist to move and fight for their lives in the village.

The River International Film Festival is a free to attend four-week event that holds on the raft on waters of the Piovego at Porta Portello Padova in Italy.

The latest edition of the event that is still running will conclude on July 30.
